PDFkitt is a free set of online PDF tools — an editor plus converters, merge, split, compress, sign, OCR and password tools — that runs entirely in your web browser. Files are processed on your own device and never uploaded to a server.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every tool is free, with no trial, no paid tier, no watermark and no limit on files or pages. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing — editing, converting, merging, compressing, OCR — runs inside your browser using open-source PDF engines. You can disconnect from the internet after a page loads and it keeps working. Nothing is stored on a server.

What is the file size limit?

There is no hard limit because there is no upload. Performance depends on your device: files under 50 MB feel instant on most computers; very large scans take longer on phones.

How is this different from iLovePDF or Smallpdf?

Those services upload your file to their servers to process it. PDFkitt does the same jobs on your own device, which means no upload, no account, no daily quota and nothing to delete afterwards.

Which formats can I convert?
