Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information PDFkitt collects when you use the website and the PDF editor, and what happens to it. The short version: your documents are never sent to us, and the little we do collect is about the website, not about your files.
1. Your PDF files
The editor runs entirely inside your web browser. When you open a PDF it is read from your device into the memory of the browser tab; edits are applied there; and the file you download is generated there. Your files, their contents and your edits are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party. We cannot see them, and we do not keep copies. The same is true of images and signatures you insert and of any passwords you enter to open or protect a file.
You can verify this behaviour yourself: after the page has loaded, disconnect your device from the internet. The editor will continue to work, because nothing it does requires a network connection.
2. Data stored in your browser
To make the editor practical, some information is stored locally, on your device, using standard browser storage. None of it is transmitted to us.

Very large sessions (above roughly 150 MB) are not autosaved, to stay within browser storage limits. You can remove everything at any time from your browser’s settings (“Clear site data” / “Cookies and site data”).
3. Information we collect about website visits
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information about each request in server logs: the page requested, the date and time, your IP address, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, to diagnose problems, and to understand roughly how many people use the site. They are not linked to your documents, which never pass through the server.
We use Google Analytics to count page views and understand which tools and guides are useful. It only sets cookies if you allow “Analytics” in the cookie banner; otherwise it runs in Google’s cookieless consent mode and stores nothing on your device. The statistics are aggregated and never include the content of your documents.
4. Cookies and advertising
PDFkitt itself does not set cookies for the editor to work. The site is supported by advertising, and advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons or local storage) on pages where ads are shown.
Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.

- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

On your first visit a cookie banner asks whether we may use analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary storage listed in section 2 is set until you choose, and “Reject All” keeps it that way: ads may still be shown, but they are not personalised. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. Ads shown on this site never have access to the content of the documents you edit.
Controlling cookies
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most let you do so for individual sites. Blocking cookies does not affect the editor, which does not need them. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
5. Third-party services
- Google Fonts — the interface font and the signature fonts are loaded from Google’s servers. Your browser sends a normal web request to Google to fetch them; see the Google Fonts privacy FAQ. If the request fails (for instance when you are offline) the site falls back to fonts already on your device.
- Google AdSense — see section 4.
- Hosting provider — server logs as described in section 3.
No other third party receives information from this site. We do not sell personal information.
6. Email
If you contact us by email we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request, and use your address only to reply. We ask you not to send documents that contain personal or confidential information.
7. Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the editor requires no account and no personal details, there is normally nothing to collect.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In practice the only personal information we might hold is an email exchange or an IP address in a server log. To exercise any of these rights, email sksknoonari@gmail.com. Data stored in your browser (section 2) is under your control and can be deleted from your browser settings.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because your documents never leave your device, the main security measures that matter are the ones on your own computer: keeping your browser up to date, and clearing site data on shared computers when you are done.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way the site handles information changes, and change the “last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the home page.
